I. Systematics l.Equisetophyta,Polypodiophyta,Pinophyta
The investigated fossil macroflora
originated from the Neogene rocks of the Satovcha Graben developed
to the east of village Satovcha (Gotse Delchev region). This part

Paleogeography of in North-eastern
Bulgaria region during Miocene
The northeastern Bulgaria was dry
land in the earliest Miocene. In the end of Tarhan age there is
a short time sea transgression. The Varna-Baltchik depression was
already a fact and there were deposited thick layers with mudstone
full of fossilized foraminifers/fig.1/. In the south Dobrusha strait
sediment was thin organic limestone with fossilized fauna, which
indicates for shallow sea/ Karapelit formation /. In the beginning
of Tchokrak age there was quite big regression and the basin in
northeastern Bulgaria was situated only in Varna-Baltchik depression.
