A short review on Bulgarian fossils of whales
Plamen Tzankov
During last mounts
I have made some interesting discoveries and conclusions in the
field of whales evolution in our country. Despite the absence of
paleontologists, who are working with the origins of Cetacea here,
we have grate abundance of fossil vertebras, ribs, falanges and
parts of skulls.

Rich man, Poor man
Svetoslav Velkov
In September 2000,
my friend Plamen and I went to Pleven in research and excavation
of fossils. The fossils in that region date from 15 million years
ago. With us came along a 9th year grade class, their biology teacher
and a retired teacher from the same school. We traveled with a bus
to Disevitza, a village west from Pleven.

More evidences for the existence of whales in our region
Plamen Tzankov
During last summer
I made some interesting expeditions in seeking of fossils' vertebrates.
One of them was a trip to our north Bulgarian seaside. In April
I was in that region in order to collect better data about remains
of whale's origins at our Black Sea coast. After that first trip
I'm convinced that if we are strenuous enough, there could be made
interesting discoveries in the future. That was one of the reasons
for my second journey.
